The ICE trains were built by Walkers.
They were built between 1988 and 1989. There are 8 2 car motor blocks in the class, numbered 5/6151-5/6158. There are an additional 4 trailer cars, numbered 7151-7154.
They are a 1067mm gauge 25kV AC electric multiple unit train.

The ICE train stands at Rockhampton overnight on September 18th, 1998 before doing the morning Spirit of Capricorn.
